I wonder...

So many people pop in from all over the world to visit this blog.

I often wonder who they are.

What this blog offers them, and whether they get something of what they are looking for.

If you feel so inclined, it would be great to hear from you.

My first time back...

I can't tell you how hard it has been to look at this blog.

To see the photos.

To think about the fact that my dearest Dad, dear to the end, is no longer here to go and hug, conspire with, tease, enjoy.

To know that this blog isn't finished and I need to write more.

But... where do I start?

9 months on...

And this is how I am feeling....

Not sure if that's a good thing?

Funeral eve...

Sad times...

All four of us have gathered in Perth to do this last thing for our dear ol' Dad.

Memories being relived...

Eulogies being written...

The closer we get to tomorrow, the more pensive and reflective we get...

Funeral details

Thought I'd let you all know what's happening.

Dad's funeral is set for January 14th at Fremantle cemetery at 11am.

We will meet at the gates at 10:30 and walk with the hearse up to the chapel.

The funeral director is Rememberance Funerals, and organised by the lovely Susie.

The service will be at 11am, and I am in the process of organizing a bubble machine so that we can have one of Dad's favourite things, bubbles, as we walk in.

We will move into the condolence lounge around 12 noon.  There won't be refreshments, but we will have a Mr Whippy van serving up ice creams during that time.

Another of Dad's favourite things.

Then onto the Captain Stirling pub on Stirling Highway, Nedlands, for a beer or five.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Big Dave, Super Dave, The Claw....

There will be tears, but there will also be laughter.

Just what he would want....
